Pure CBG Hemp Oil
Cannabis is a never-ending tally of components, characteristics, properties, and benefits. This plant has several elements that can have favorable impacts on people's health. One of its components is CBG. Although it is not one of the most popular or frequent, there is already enough information for us to analyze and study it. So, what is CBG?
Cannabinoids are the main components of the plant, and CBG is one of them. It is considered to be the mother of most of the components, and recently it has been possible to start studying it separately. Since it is not psychoactive, it has become a potential therapeutic for diseases.
Among its many benefits, there is the treatment of glaucoma, as well as other conditions such as psoriasis. But CBG is much more than that, are you encouraged to discover it?
What are cannabinoids, and what are their benefits?
CBD, THC, CBN, CBG… It all looks like a tongue twister. Although many intend to simplify it as marijuana, cannabis is much more than people smoking and getting high. The favorable effects of cannabis have been known for half a century, and these are mainly due to the properties of its cannabinoids.
So far, some of the most studied cannabinoids are delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). Both have been shown to have different implications in medicine, which is why those involved in growing cannabis plants focus mainly on the THC and CBD content that can be of therapeutic use.
What if we named you CBG? Does that ring a bell?
CBG or cannabigerol is considered by some to be the “father” of cannabinoids. This interesting molecule is necessary for the synthesis of CBD and THC. However, if its transformation is stopped, we will obtain a product that could have an enormous anti-inflammatory and antioxidant power. If you want to know more about CBG, don't miss this article!
CBG: a not-so-subsidiary cannabinoid
When cannabis is harvested, dried, and processed, it usually contains only trace amounts of CBG (below 1%). For this reason, it is generally classified as a “secondary” cannabinoid.
But, in fact, CBG (or, rather, its acidic form CBGA) is the first cannabinoid acid to develop in cannabis plants. It is present in high concentrations in flowering cannabis plants. Its acid form is simply CBG with an additional carboxyl group – “A”.
As the plants grow, enzymes convert CBGA into THCA (tetrahydrocannabinol acid), CBDA (cannabidiol acid), or CBCA (cannabicromic acid).
The more THC or CBD a plant sample contains, the less CBG it will have. Thus, the strains generally contain only small amounts of CBG.
At Succinctplant, our breeders are experimenting with crosses, genetic manipulation, and even unique harvesting patterns to create strains that contain high levels of this cannabinoid.
What are the effects of CBG?
As we mentioned, CBG is a non-toxic cannabinoid. Like other cannabinoids, CBG interacts with the endocannabinoid system in several ways. But, being non-toxic, when it interacts with this system, it does not alter the mental faculties.
Some studies also suggest that CBG may inhibit the growth of some tumors, while other studies show that it may have neuroprotective effects. A 2014 study published in the medical journal PLoS One also claims that some CBG products may suppress the body's immune response.
Dr. Bonni Goldstein, a medical doctor, specializing in medical cannabis, says CBG can inhibit the neurotransmission of GABA in the brain, as well as affect pain and inflammation, among other things.
“When GABA is inhibited, there is actually muscle relaxation and anxiolytic effects, so it seems that [CBG] promotes effects similar to CBD. It also appears to have antidepressant properties and some mild antifungal properties,” Goldstein said in a video for WeedMaps.
In 2013, researchers from the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy) analyzed the effects of CBG in an experimental model of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The researchers found that CBG has anti-inflammatory and potent antioxidant properties.
Unfortunately, since CBG has been overshadowed by other cannabinoids such as THC and CBD, not many studies have been devoted to fully understanding this cannabinoid and its effects. But this is slowly changing as people realize the potential and importance of this compound.
What is the difference between CBG and CBD?
Not only does CBG have a different chemical structure from CBD, but it also does not interact with the endocannabinoid system in the same way as its partner. CBG exerts its influence through the activation of the CB₁ and CB₂ receptors present in the digestive, immune, and peripheral nervous systems.
CBD, on the other hand, acts as a kind of “CEO” of the SEC, ensuring that this regulatory system functions efficiently. CBD achieves this by triggering the release of beneficial enzymes and endocannabinoids. Endocannabinoids are internally produced, signaling chemicals that closely resemble phytocannabinoids and play a crucial role in well-being.
Although their mechanisms of action are different, CBG and CBD have some things in common, the most important of which is their non-psychotropic nature. Neither of these two cannabinoids induces a high after being consumed alone or together.
Both cannabinoids benefit from the entourage effect, a phenomenon that enhances their respective properties when co-existing with other cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. CBG synergizes perfectly with CBD, making this combination ideal for a balanced and comprehensive approach to well-being.
What are the health benefits of CBG?
If you're one of those people who think marijuana can do more than just travel the galaxy with the help of a joint from the comfort of your room, you might find this interesting.
It's not all about getting high and forgetting about the world: you can also find therapeutic uses for some components of cannabis, such as CBG, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that, depending on the variety of marijuana, can be found in varying proportions, and can help treat certain diseases and improve health.
It is important to emphasize that all these advantages are still being evaluated by science. However, several studies have elucidated the possible effects of CBG. Here are some conditions where CBG has been shown to be useful:
Glaucoma is a disease of the eyeball, which usually has no symptoms but can gradually reduce vision. The damage begins in the optic nerve, but a significant amount of receptors of the endocannabinoid system are found there, so CBG can act quite effectively in treating this disease. This is because CBG works as a vasodilator, helps drain fluid from the eyes, and also relieves eye pressure.
2. Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
After studies with mice, CBG was found to have anti-inflammatory properties, by specifically targeting the areas where the pain originates. This is why it has also been considered for use in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease or Crohn's disease and even cancer.
3. Anti-bacterial effects.
Some studies indicate that cannabigerol is very useful as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, after being administered topically to treat diseases and infections of the skin. The reason is that CBG slows down or even eliminates bacterial growth. Although not enough products have yet been developed for such a treatment, CBG may be developed as a future solution.
4. Huntington's disease.
Huntington's disease is a brain-wide condition characterized by progressive neurodegeneration, evidenced when a person begins to have problems controlling movement, loss of reasoning or cognitive and psychiatric problems, as well as emotional problems.
In studies carried out on Huntington's Disease, it has been proven that CBG acts as a neuroprotector by normalizing the gene expression involved in this disorder, which leads to the improvement of its symptoms. Likewise, it was found to improve the gene expression related to other neurogenerative diseases such as those of the insolithic growth factor, the neurotrophic factor that comes from the brain, and the gamma receptor stimulated by peroxisome producers.
Topical CBG has given surprising results in the treatment of skin diseases or conditions by decreasing or eliminating bacterial and fungal growth. Besides, its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, in combination with antiseptic effects, can improve symptoms such as rashes, itching, and burning that often occur in conditions such as psoriasis.
Psoriasis is a disease of the immune system, which generally presents with a rash, scaling, itching, and sometimes burning. However, it can have different symptoms depending on the area of the body and the causes of the disease, such as allergies or stress.
According to studies in mice, CBG works significantly by reducing the formation of cancer cells in different parts of the body, such as the skin, colon, breast, prostate, and other cancers.
This opens a window into a sea of possibilities to experiment with alternatives from hashish that can result in effective cures for various types of cancer. However, the focus of current scientific research is that at least the treatment of such diseases can be made more patient-friendly.
7. Anxiety relief and relaxation
CBG binds to receptors that control serotonin levels in the body's endocannabinoid system to help modulate mood, stress, anxiety, or pain. One receptor controls the body's wake or sleep cycle, so it is not surprising that CBG affects how relaxed you feel.
It is also logical that feeling relaxed is the most likely outcome once CBG has reduced your stress and pain levels, combined with improved sleep quality. Our PURE UNDILUTED CBG OIL creates a noticeably pleasant elevator in mood, combined with relieved anxiety levels and a deep sense of relaxation.
The future of the CBG
CBG has shown promising results in many treatments. Unfortunately, CBG, with a relatively low concentration in the plant, which results in the therapeutic administration of CBG oil, will be limited by the amount of compound obtained from plant extracts.
However, our recent breeding work has shown that cannabis chemotypes, with their lack of subsequent enzymes, have a 100% CBG content.
After several years of hard work and breeding programs, Succinctplant has created a CBG oil and 99% CBG isolation. Although further studies and research are still needed before we can confirm and determine the full range of therapeutic properties contained in CBG oil, we are pioneers in offering solutions based on this compound, leading the way in the international market of this product and offering quality guarantees well above the standards of other products. How do we prepare CBG oil at Succinctplant?
Hemp contains a wide variety of compounds in different proportions. While CBD and THC represent the majority of cannabinoids, other less abundant compounds, such as CBG, can be difficult to isolate.
The process begins with the crushing of mature hemp plants, from which the stems and other unnecessary parts are removed. The flowers and leaves are what contain cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids.
Succintplant uses a truly advanced extraction method, with CO₂ supercritical to isolate these essential compounds. Our hemp extract is filtered and purified to produce a golden-grade liquid with unmatched efficiency and quality. After being combined with a suitable carrier oil and bottled, it is ready for consumption.
Why is CBG oil produced by supercritical extraction with CO₂? Extraction with CO₂ not only offers a higher level of control but is also extremely safe. Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is a natural gas that is found everywhere. But when pushed beyond its critical point with a combination of heat and pressure, CO₂ becomes supercritical, a state between a gas and a liquid.
As the supercritical CO₂ passes through the plant material, it binds to the essential cannabinoids and terpenes within it. This cannabinoid-impregnated solution is carefully condensed to capture certain compounds without destroying them, including CBG. When it returns to its gaseous state, CO₂ can be reused or safely dispersed into the atmosphere.
Our state-of-the-art PURE UNDILUTED CBG OIL undergoes the same production processes and rigorous quality controls as our traditional range of cannabinoid products, ensuring an unparalleled level of quality and purity.
How do you consume our PURE UNDILUTED CBG OIL?
CBG oil is consumed in the same way as traditional cannabinoid oils, on or under the tongue. Sublingual administration (under the tongue) provides a rapid onset of effects because the active ingredients do not have to pass through the digestive system. By sublingual administration, CBG oil enters the bloodstream rapidly through tiny capillaries.
Alternatively, you can put several drops of CBG oil directly on the tongue or mix them with food and drink. Unfortunately, CBG oil is not suitable for cooking, as heat destroys cannabinoids and terpenes.
Please note that these recommendations are the first step; to benefit from CBG oil, you will need to experiment with the dosage, frequency, and method of consumption until you achieve the desired result. We are sure that you will find enormous benefits from our PURE UNDILUTED CBG OIL, whatever your preferred way of use!
How long do the effects of PURE UNDILUTED CBG OIL last?
By nature, cannabinoids have a relatively short half-life, i.e., the time they remain active within the body. Our PURE UNDILUTED CBG OIL consumed orally begins to take effect after about 40-60 minutes and lasts for several hours.
The onset of these effects can be accelerated by the sublingual administration of CBG. However, since the active ingredients reach the bloodstream more quickly, they are also processed at a faster rate, and the effects have a shorter duration.
The factors described below influence the duration of the effects of CBG oil and their preponderance. I
- Oil concentration
- Dose frequency
Does CBG's oil expire?
Our PURE UNDILUTED CBG OIL is a perishable product that should be stored in a cool, dark, and dry place to preserve its integrity. The refrigerator is the best place to store CBG oil. Be sure to shake the bottle well before each use. Once opened, the PURE UNDILUTED CBG OIL has a shelf life of six months. All our CBG oil bottles are printed with the expiry date and the batch number.
